Title: Ducabike rearsets; shift linkage Q Post by: hyflight on June 03, 2013, 06:31:20 AM 2010 Monster 1100. Installed Ducabike rearsets, mostly an easy job. I have the ball joints adjusted out as far as I think allows enough threads to remain within the tie-rod. The shift pedal, therefore, is too high for my comfort...quite a bit higher than with the OEM rearsets. Is there an aftermarket, longer, tie-rod available? If I rotate the gearchange lever on the splines, will that affect anything other than shift pedal position?
Thanks! Title: Re: Ducabike rearsets; shift linkage Q Post by: Speeddog on June 03, 2013, 07:30:02 AM Just rotate the lever to a new position on the splines, and check to make sure it shifts both directions.
Adjust to suit. Title: Re: Ducabike rearsets; shift linkage Q Post by: Grampa on June 03, 2013, 07:33:54 PM what Nick said, just make sure to mark the current position with a sharpie, then rotate it one spline at a time until it's comfortable.

After 30+ years of training my muscle memory I am gonna skip the flip....... Found the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lo16zVrutNo (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lo16zVrutNo) |
