Title: Kickstand Post by: ducfun on July 04, 2008, 02:54:56 PM Not much of a mod, so this might be the wrong place....
Anyone cahnge their stock (spring loaded) kickstand to something else? I have a '96 M900 and I really don't like how upright the bike sits. It seems like one small bump will allow the kickstand to raise and the bike to go over. Any thougts? Title: Re: Kickstand Post by: ducfun on July 04, 2008, 07:10:02 PM As far as I know the kickstand and ride height is stock. I have a 1996 M900. I only bought it about three weeks ago and the kickstand bugs me. The auto lift due to the spring makes me nervous about the bike taking an accidental spill.

but i also had my bike lowered, it was a pain in the arse to park, cause if there was no slant or a bump in the rode my bike would go over :P Title: Re: Kickstand Post by: Spike on July 05, 2008, 04:29:06 AM As far as I know the kickstand and ride height is stock. Try the kickstand bolt from here: http://www.nicholsmfg.com/ducati-parts.html Hope that helps. Title: Re: Kickstand Post by: M900 on July 05, 2008, 05:53:14 AM What does it do, exactly? It prevents the kickstand from automatically kicking up when the bike is held up and the weight is relieved. Title: Re: Kickstand Post by: ducfun on July 05, 2008, 08:24:43 AM thanks. I think I'll try that and report back with my thoughts
