Title: Re: WSBK Portimao --- Spoilers Post by: MadDuck on June 08, 2013, 05:01:56 PM It didn't look all that wet. Checa finally looked decent. Wet enough for a bit that they didn't run the usual number of qualifying sessions according to the report but then the race officials were being a bit cautious. Checa was looking good but the others got some better times as the track was drying. That's what I saw too...Title: Re: WSBK Portimao --- Spoilers Post by: stopintime on June 09, 2013, 03:47:42 AM Ducati still down on top speed ??? WTF...
Title: Re: WSBK Portimao --- Spoilers Post by: TooClose Racing on June 09, 2013, 07:42:42 AM Great first race, but Sykes set up was off a bit. I am just crushed over the second race. Of course - a Lavery fan might say that about the first race. Guintoli is being "gifted" this championship, for chrissakes. Which is a totally sour grapes remark - he has been running at the front, but I'm a big cry baby.
The WSS race was fantastic. God, I love this 5 hour marathon of racing. Even the 1000 STK stuff. Title: Re: WSBK Portimao --- Spoilers Post by: ZLTFUL on June 09, 2013, 09:18:40 AM WSS race definitely the best race of the weekend.
Title: Re: WSBK Portimao --- Spoilers Post by: ZLTFUL on June 10, 2013, 07:40:49 AM Gutted for Tom. Even moreso that he went out on a crashed bike and set a race lap record. [bang]
Title: Re: WSBK Portimao --- Spoilers Post by: zooom on June 10, 2013, 08:26:46 AM I liked Steve Martin's idea about Baz dumping on the warm-up lap....
Title: Re: WSBK Portimao --- Spoilers Post by: ZLTFUL on June 10, 2013, 09:58:21 AM That would have been FANTASTIC. [laugh]
You can tell what generation some guys are from. I personally miss the days when rules were bent every single weekend to win races. |
