Title: dream garage?? How 'bout scheme garbage?
Post by: Anchorism on June 17, 2013, 05:03:22 AM
Just when i was about to enjoy my lunch.....  [puke] [puke] i lost my appetite. Sorry if this was a derby.... but me being "someone with common sense" had to share my anguish.  I mean i can understand wanting to do something different but really??

 [thumbsdown]

What's with the swingarm? Doesn't he like going round corners?

If you ignore that swingarm length, I think it looks pretty good (also ignoring the front shots and rear shots from the link).

But from the side, and looking only at the front 3/4 of the bike...  [thumbsup]

You guys know how I feel about the new Monster, but I do like the exhaust.

The write up is garbage...

I like the exhaust and the wheels, except for the size of the rear.  Is it me or is it odd that the dude put so much effort into this bike but didn't bother to change the levers?  The stock levers stick out as bad as the back end.

. . .but I do like the exhaust.

it exits the hot exhaust gases directly on the rear tire.   [thumbsdown]  but then bikes like this are all about posin' for pictures and not for actually riding.

I dont care how impractical that thing is.. it looks sick and i love it! Now, ofcourse, it couldnt be my only bike.. but i sure would love to pose on it! thats right , i said it! lol

That is a tire warmer, for fast trackin'!

Expressing an opinion isn't flaming....

and some of us are just slow on the uptake.  ;D

Personally, I think the builder totally missed the mark.

It's inherent that we dislike this bike mainly because of the extended swingarm. It crosses into territory that we usually try to avoid. ... I mean its a nice bike, but its practically a hayabusa now...

i wouldn't mind having it in my garage.

I respect the effort that went into it ... But a monster as a
'drag' bike is just a style exercise.

[laugh] The Monster is just a style exercise.

[laugh] The Monster is just a style exercise.

I respectfully disagree.  It is functional and includes very little
Which doesn't contribute to that functionality.  Extending the
Swingarm detracts from that functionality for the purpose
Of appearance.

Actually I agree.  I kinda like it except for the swingarm length, and where the exhaust exits.

Don't be offended but I am pretty sure that Ryan Danger (the builder) was not trying to hit your mark but instead, build a bike that he likes!!!

That being said, you are totally free to like it or not... Personally I think it's a great show bike! Do I like everything about it? No but I do appreciate the work that was put into it...

;-)

Not offended at all.

The stuff he made shows a great deal of craftsmanship. The bolt on bling is strictly a matter of taste.

I like his paint scheme even though matte finishes are not my favorite.

What he did with the swingarm and exhaust makes an already disproportionate look in frame tube size and subframe design even worse IMO.

...but you know what has been said about opinions. ;D
