Ha!

I had one of those moments last month at the office. No water, just a bad (old) battery. Knew I was tempting fate, as I had the original battery in the bike (7 years old) and the bike had been starting hard. Tried to comp start like you, but the floor of the parking garage was too slick for the tire to grab. Ended up getting a jump from a coworker.

Why do they decide not to start only when there is a crowd?

Mine does that occasionally.  Then scares the hell out of everyone by exploding to life with a wicked backfire, shooting a blue flame from one of the pipes, then settles into a lumpy idle.

lol  that's exactly what mine does.

Whats maybe not obvious from that video is that its is 04:00 on a Friday morning at a busy campsite.

We woke up about 40 angry German RV owners and 10 angry English Rv owners.
As a result we are no longer welcome there.   oops

I'm betting it has something to do with the shark on the back.
