Title: Is this a known issue???
Post by: eesnas on July 05, 2008, 01:27:02 PM
I think something is wrong with the edit function here... I keep timing out and getting this messasge:

Database Error: Lost connection to MySQL server during query
File: /home/content/d/u/c/ducpainter/html/Sources/Subs-Post.php
Line: 1895Database Error: MySQL server has gone away
File: /home/content/d/u/c/ducpainter/html/Sources/Load.php
Line: 2016
Warning: Unknown(): A session is active. You cannot change the session module's ini settings at this time. in Unknown on line 0

Am I the only one???

VERY frustrating...

You'll probably have better luck posting in the "board tech issues" forum. http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?board=17.0

eesnas,

Is this happening when you're trying to post, or edit a post, or?

Hmm, it seems to be a session issue that seems to be limited to you (no one else has reported such a thing).  Which URL are you using to access the site?  Make sure you're using ducatimonsterforum.org.  I would clear your cache, your cookies, close your browser and then reopen.  Then point your browser to the DMF and see if it does it to you again.

I had similar issues earlier this week, it was due to the internet provider (hotel wireless), it kept producing pop-ups which interfered with my sessions and cookies. >:(

Are you trying to post with several pictures?
Sometimes I've had an issue with that, but thought it was flickr's problem...

I just posted a 'test', both with a picture and without, it worked fine.

Yes, I am trying to post pics (3).  I'll try it with out the pics.

[update]
I removed the pic links, and it worked.  I then just Modified the post, and add the pic links.

You can then go back and edit to include the pics.

I've found it's an issue occasionally with multiple pics if you try and 'preview', somehow it hangs up, not sure if it's flickr or my ISP or ? ? ?
If you just hit post it's OK, and then you can edit.

I'm using photobucket.

I initially just hit the post button, and then tried the preview then post button...same result.

It only worked when I did not initially post the pics.  :-\
