Title: Do I need Rizoma brackets for fluid reservoirs?
Post by: Kabulpostie on July 03, 2013, 04:32:19 AM
I just bought Rizoma Fluid reservoirs (the ones with the window) For front and rear brake and clutch. I don have my bike with me at the moment so I can't tell if I need to buy their over priced brackets or not. I've used the search function and can't seem to find a definitive answer. Bike is '06 S2R1K and the reservoirs mount and feed from the bottom (CT125B).
Any help would be appreciated.

Yup you need the mounts.  I also bought and used a syringe to remove and add fluid so that bleeding was not necessary.

My previous model came with a bracket - similar to what you have on your stock master.
Very likely that your new reservoir has it too....

These didn't come with any brackets..except for the rear one...So you are saying you think the stock ones will work? If I do get the mounts do I have to get the bottom feed ones? I ask as they seem harder to find.

When I purchased my "next" reservoirs I was told I would need the brackets.  They are quite nice BTW, no shake or shimmy.

My brake reservoir CT027 came with the bracket CT454B and it looks very similar to your stock bracket.

That leads me to expect that your stock bracket will work...  maybe you need a bolt to mount into the bottom of the reservoir...
