Came across some under $5000. what gives? however, bikes are cheaper on the east coast. we get less riding time out here than some places like arizona or socal. My friend once found a 696 on the east coast as well for around 3k, when most others were selling for around 6 to 7 thousand. After contacting the guy selling the bike, we figured it was most likely a scam as he explained how he's out of town so he can't meet, and a moving company is currently holding on to the bike and they'll set up an escrow account to deposit the money in and blah blah blah and bs bs bs.

the same phone number also pops up for a bike in San Diego... Duc is supposedly in upstate NY, area code is in NJ, maintenance was done in CA... I call shenanigans. If you have 2 days to make the trip, it can end up costing less than the price difference.
it pays to look outside your area if you're in an (almost) all year riding area. |
