So he just sold his bike which he has had for 8 years for the same as what he paid for it 8 years ago. £800 a Honda 250 Rebel (https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc3/972325_621314241234002_1096111264_n.jpg) lovely isn't it? ;oP Title: Re: a Depriciation proof bike starnge but true Post by: red baron on July 31, 2013, 08:11:08 PM and bulletproof, I put nearly 30k on one of those. Always appreciate people tanking something plain and turning it into their own little rolling work of art.
As far as depreciation-proof bikes... there's a few out there. Along the lines of this Rebel, several of the 250 "starter bikes" have ultra-low depreciation. Hence why many of us recommend a used Ninja 250 to new riders. They can put a year and a couple thousand miles on it, and generally sell it at or close to what they paid for it. It'll be interesting to watch the CBR 250 to see what those do in the used market. |
