I believe at this point Ducati Diag no longer exists. The 400ie is also a bike that doesn't show up in many markets. What year? Is the TPS held on with screws or rivets? If it is held on by screws it may be non linear and can be adjusted with a multimeter. More info on your symptoms would be helpful, TPS setting should not be affected buy temperature.
You can get this from our sponsor ca cycleworks

ime all 400ie have a linear tps. all the tps are all screwed on.
the non linear, labelled PF3C, has two square steel washers under the screws, which cover two slots to allow adjustment, see the first photo in this report: http://www.bikeboy.org/ducati2vthrottleb.html (http://www.bikeboy.org/ducati2vthrottleb.html)
the linear, labelled PF1C, looks the same body wise, but has screws only, as you don't adjust it physically.
when it is hot does it drop a cylinder at idle ad very low rpm? (it makes a sound like duh duh duh duh instead of brrrrmmm). if so, it might have a voltage issue at the horizontal coil, the supply to which is on the same circuit as the injectors and fuel pump. makes no sense, but supplying battery voltage direct to the coil via a relay switched by the efi relay may fix it. I have seen this issue on 400 only, and it makes no sense that only 1 cylinder is affected, not both, but it does seem to fix it.
I think you should buy VDSTS to reset your tps, as linked to by howie.
The author of ducatidiag has removed his (free) product from the web, as is his right. No amount of shouting is going to change that, so build a bridge and get over it.
