Title: 750 Brake Light not lit
Post by: d4nk0 on August 16, 2013, 12:51:15 PM
DMF,

I have yet another issue with my 2000 monster 750 :[

I've come to realize that when my bike engine is on, the rear brake light doesn't light up. This is obviously dangerous and it gives me zero visibility at night from the rear.

When I hit either of my two brakes, the bulb does shine, so I know that it's not the bulb.

I took it to a local bike dealer (not ducati dealer) and the guy told me that there are two bulbs in my brake light and the one that idles is burnt out. I went home, opened the light, and there is only one bulb.

Here are my questions:
1. If this is an electrical problem, where do i start with the fix?
2. Is the single bulb brake I even suppose to be dimly lit at all times?
3. Should I just try a new brake light in general?

Thanks for your continued support
Eric
