The first one almost belongs in the Craigslist Crack Addicts thread.  $23k?!?  [roll]

That must be a typo.  I think they're advertising the fact that the mufflers weigh 23000 lbs.

Well, of course you'd buy that Sport 1000.
Rather than a 5-year newer, almost half the mileage Panigale S ABS, that's $1,300 cheaper.

unless you've been searching for a sport classic you probably don't understand the market for them, which can be totally bizarre.  and expensive.

They can draw a pretty penny, but not that much.  I had mine up for sale during the spring.  Had a guy offer me $13.5K for it, which was pretty solid.  Asking $10K more for one?  That's a bit over the top in my opinion.

well, if you don't ask, you can't get it.  it's a big country, and they only need one sucker.

Nope, still got it.  Never told the guy, but he was only $500 away from the mark I told myself I'd let it go at.

Most those bikes are on consignment, so the seller makes the asking price. That SE has been for sale for almost 6 months or so. The ones that Jeff built were a 2006 model and  Ducati did a 2007 SE modeled after it.
