I have a question for anyone who has seen Hancock...
Is it just me, or does that movie scream out for either another 1/2 hour of content in this film or at least 1 sequel (or even better - a pre-quel?) [thumbsup]

+1 good movie too. the ending could of developed into something serious , not some corny superhero movie with a sad pre ending and then happy ending, like superman when he went back in time to save louis
I liked it but I dont see a Hancock II. Will Smith doesn't really do many sequels.
A prequel would be cool... or maybe not. It would be a lot of supermen/women dying :-\
I think a prequel would be amazing just going into the origins of the heroes. And will smith wouldn't need to be in it if he didn't want to. But it would be cool if he was. He is a great actor
Thought the movie was incredibly well done and it did not feel cliche.
Well, now I'm torn. Friend and his wife went to see it over the weekend, and reported back that the film was a "wait for rental", i.e. not very good or satisfying. That seems a direct contradiction to the comments here, which are generally very positive. Huh.
meh.
mags and I saw it and wanted this weekend. I liked wanted better.
I can't get past the bullshit "bend the bullet" scene in the previews to bring myself to see Wanted.
At least when I go see a superhero movie, I fully expect it to be chock full of inconsistencies and impossibilities. I don't like it when other movies go for the 'real' element and attempt to pass it off. All of a sudden I have trouble finding the "I-Believe" or "Its-Just-A-Movie" buttons to push, and the engineer inside me won't quit complaining.
I also have trouble enjoying any movie in which a gun is fired and flame is visible, but the slide doesn't move. Or a revolver with a silencer, or 'super-duper special magic bullets' are used.
I am going to try to see Wanted this week. Possibly AFTER I see Hellboy II. When I see it, I predict to be entertained.
will smith + holiday weekend = obvious hollywood drivel meant for mass media consumption. Krap.

I disagree. That was the other big released movie - This was not a typical superhero fair.
Saw it on Sunday. It was ok. Worth seeing - just.
I like the alcoholic spin on the superhero movie. That said - I'm starting to get tired of superhero movies. :P
