Title: Black (oil seal?) lining in a wet clutch basket Post by: The ModFather on August 27, 2013, 09:25:25 AM Took off my clutch cover for powder coating and there's a black lining piece in it that's bolted in. Bolts come out but the lining doesnt come out. Can I leave it in during powder coating? It appears to be metal? Maybe aluminum. Any insight appreciated.

Try again? I have no idea about what material it is, but wouldn't it suck to discover it's made of plastic... I discarded that item when I replaced my APTC with a good ol' standard from an 800.

I'm tugging but it's not coming out. I could try prying it with a large screw driver but Im worried about bending and or damaging it. Not sure how the rubber in there will fare in the PC overn and if I should keep trying to get it out. So far it aint budging. :-\
