Title: K100
Post by: Fearnot69 on August 29, 2013, 02:25:24 PM
Hey all,
Perhaps others have heard of this;but being new to Ducati and the tank issues, I was told about K100. It can be found at a local Advance Auto. Does anyone use this? Heard about it? Will it reverse or stop further issues? I am going to great lengths to get high octane gas that doesn't contain ethonol. It really has become a pain, in a very short period of time. Thanks.

Don't know about K100, but have heard good things about Caswell's:

Doubtful K100 will do any good:

Unless you upped  compression you do not need high octane fuel.

Still better to buy 20 Gallons of non-ethanol at a time. Ethanol is nasty stuff, plastic tanks and plastic parts notwithstanding...

^^ That's what I started doing.  No, the Caga doesn't need premium, but I don't have tanks that are covered by any sort of DNA warranty or settlement.

Someday I will learn to weld aluminum, and then I will fab my own fuel tanks for it.  I have an idea that entails cutting off the outer skin of the factory tanks, fabbing some aluminum tanks that roughly fit underneath, and fastening the skins on the outside so it still looks like a Gran Canyon.  But that's pie-in-the-sky at the moment...
