I read that too in A&R as derbyed from Kropotnik....

just goes to show who Ducati felt was king in the development realm and how much weight they gave Nicky's feedback....sad actually.

Preziosi was still running the show at that point...and he was always right. ;)

It might be different now.

Audi might revisit the subject...who knows?

Ducati could have spent more time developing it, but with Rossi in tow, they needed results ASAP. They could not afford 2 more years of complaints, so they had to do something drastic. Again, you should not try to out-Honda Honda, but that's the choice they went with.

Krop tweeted that NH clarified his statement, it was the aluminum monocoque that he preferred, not the CF.

;) he still works for Ducati and the 1199 is made from that AL design... taking it with a grain of salt.
