The kid is just whackin' it.  [popcorn]

Is it just me, or is JLo starting to ride a bit like MM?
Perhaps he's just getting a bit (uncharacteristically) ragged trying to keep up.

The kid does it again. Now I wonder if MM is playing Rossi style mindgames with Lorenzo.

...and during the morning warm up the championship might have just changed dramatically.

Marquez crashed...and looks like he hurt is left wrist/shoulder/collarbone.

Great race!
Interesting to see the different strengths and weaknesses and riding styles required for the Hondas and Yamahas.

It was a dislocated shoulder, which I'm not sure if it bothered him too much considering the last laps. Most of the race was a parade. If the kid would have pulled it off at the end I would have thought he was not human, but the chances of going through a whole season without being injured is very low. How you deal with your injuries is what makes you a champion.

Even Jarvis is in awe of the kid. What a year so far! 30 point lead in the championship with 6 rounds to go. When do we start doing the math and the what ifs?

That Yamaha looks well underpowered, I cant believe Lorenzo can stay with the Hondas. I really admire Lorenzo more than ever.

You mean the Yamaha that led most of the race?

The racing just keeps getting better.  Even got excited cheering Rossi for fourth.

I put that down to Lorenzo, not Yamaha power

From what I understand it's not a question of power. The Hondas can definitely accelerate faster, with the seemless gearbox. They do have more top end, but that will only come into play if you have a straight the length of COTA. Yamahas are more stable so they can carry more speed into the corner. Hence all the discussion about Yamaha vs Honda tracks.

did you see MM after the finish line, couldn't even raise his left arm... and he nearly won that race ...wow

Big  [thumbsup] to Lorenzo for holding off the two Hondas. He really did amazing lap times all through out the race. I wonder what is keeping Vale so off pace. Oh and by the way MM was docked 2 points for not slowing under yellow when his honda smashed into crutchlows Yamaha

Yeah, did you guys see that crash? If the corner workers would not have been vigilant, MM's bike would have taken out Crutchlow and about 4 corners workers.

seems like this has been discussed a thousand times.  v = more grunt, so the bike favors point-n-shoot/being picked up asap.  inline = more stable in the corner, so it favors, er, cornerspeed.  that said it's not 'slow', nor is the honda 'bad' in the corners.  for the last few years i've been hoping that george took HRC's offers just to see what he did with that bike, cuz while certainly the M1 favors cornerspeed, his is significantly better than all other yamaha riders.  likewise, seeing how MM throws around that RC i really wonder what he would look like on the M1.

bravo to the cornerworker whose job it was to watch the track and yell RUN! at the appropriate time.

and holy hell what a performance by both those guys.

bummed for cal.  hope the arm is ok.

+1 to all that.

Glad I don't work for Spidi.
I suspect there's been a blistering phone call (or 4).

Great 3 way battle at the end.  [thumbsup] Nice to see JLo fight back hard against MM.  [bow_down] Too bad Pedrobot couldn't have stuck his nose in as well!
