Title: Floppy S4R Mirrors
Post by: bluestoesonnose on September 20, 2013, 08:48:05 AM
My S4R mirrors are a little "floppy" anything I can do to "stiffen" them up so they don't fold back above 70mph or if I hit a bump?

Cheers

Loc-tite and tighten the bolts in place.

And the bolts are where?  No bolts visible on the mirrors

Cheers

I don't think there's any way to fix that.

I ran a set for a while, and from a function standpoint they were fine if they were adjusted *perfectly*.
But they wouldn't stay put, so I was constantly readjusting them.
That got old in a hurry.

Cheers Speeddog,
Found an old link which suggest drilling a 16mm hole in the bottom of the mirror head and tightening up the bolt.  I'm going to give that a go.

Cheers
