Title: Beware blue HWP
Post by: dmb80 on September 23, 2013, 08:11:42 PM
Traveling up the old road today and was pulled
Over by a blue HWP copper  [leo]He defected me for
My termi exhaust, integrated rear light with blinkers
And looking like I have get noise test on the exhaust,
Cut the termis down so number plate can be seen
It was a tail tidy. Funny enough he didn't say
Anything about the open clutch.  So people be aware.

Also wants me to cut my termi cans back
Past the number plate because you couldn't
See the last didget from a 45 degree angle.
The light is what started it apparently your
Blinkers have to be 300mm apart.

Did he give you a ticket to get it tested for noise???
Cutting down the cans ain't going to help you for a noise test.
You will need to refit the stock cans for that :P

He really had it out for you bloody hell.. I'm up old road semi regularly on a 659 with termis, fender elim and integrated tail light and I've never had an issue with any of it. Including rbt/defect setups in and around Sydney. Was it constable wengi by any chance? He's a bit of a prick lol.

Yeah, thought so.
There was a thread about this very issue a while ago. Simplest answer was to keep outboard indicators on and not even wire up the integrated.
If you search the forum I think I linked to the Vehicle standards doc.

I saw the bloke you're talking about on Sunday, he pinged a bloke I know. There were two of them doing the rounds, one red(ish), one blue.

He can't be worse than our old mate Constable B B B.  [leo]

Haven't revived it yet. Spoke to my mechanic
He said it may come in the mail this week
If it doesn't come should be able to cut the
Pipes without a problem
