Title: Interchangeability between Monster 1100 and 1100 EVO fuel tanks
Post by: Let The Good Times Roll on October 08, 2013, 12:16:07 AM
I have a 2009 Monster 1100 - the plastic strip down the centre of the fuel tank is black.
I want to fit a white one from a later 1100 EVO model.
Can anyone tell me if it will bolt on.
Regards Ray.

We're just talking the external trim piece between left and right tank skins, right?

I'm 99.8% confident it will be exactly the same piece of plastic in a different colour  [thumbsup].

Be sure to let us all know when you've removed the last tiny little doubt.

I just put the one on from my former 2009 1100S onto my 2012 1100 evo, they are identical.  surprisingly, the front fender that I got in 2010 as part of the course set of red/white/black  plastics not only fits, but has the cable holders inside for the abs lines.
