Post by: HotIce on November 16, 2013, 11:06:04 AM
Pleased to read this one, this morning:

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/11/16/us/for-first-time-epa-proposes-reducing-ethanol-requirement-for-gas-mix.html (http://www.nytimes.com/2013/11/16/us/for-first-time-epa-proposes-reducing-ethanol-requirement-for-gas-mix.html)

My 1098 plastic tank was pleased at the news  ;D

Funny how there's no mention of the lower fuel economy of E10 and E85. Never mind the environmental impact to produce the ethanol.

Screw the Farm Lobby. I want my bike to run right and my fuel tank to hold its shape.

This doesn't mean E10 will go away, it just greatly lowers the prospect of us having E15 shoved down our throats

I'm just curious regarding the details behind "the producers have pushed the E.P.A. into allowing a blend that is 15 percent ethanol rather than 10"

But I think I might be hearing the tumblers clicking in the distance...

What badness will ethanol do to a chainsaw?

Small engines have rubber/plastic parts in the fuel system that don't even play as well with ethanol as PA-6 doesn't...

if you catch my drift.
