Title: OEM Ducati Lines vs. Aftermarket
Post by: ChrisK on November 25, 2013, 07:19:37 AM
I'm curious if anyone knows anything about the quality of SS braided lines Ducati is using in their bikes today? The reason I ask is that I'm considering purchasing a set of front brake lines from a Ducati GT1000. The lines had less than 8,000 miles on them when taken off, they're SS braided, and they'll fit on my bike. The price I can get them for is much more cost-effective than paying $150ish for a brand new setup.

So, anyone know if Ducati's OEM lines compare to what I could get from a brand such as HEL or Spiegler?

DOT B.H. SAE J 1401 - 05/07 - 3mm - H.L.    -   That's what it says on the lines, if that means anything to anybody.

Thanks!

The stock ones on my 996 work great.

I think they'll be a worthwhile improvement over your stock rubber ones.

I've not seen or heard anything bad about them.

Thanks guys, I ended up buying them. They're arriving Friday. Hopefully I get a warm enough day to test them out this year….
