Title: Re: By by Monster Post by: koko64 on December 02, 2013, 02:34:05 PM You ok?
Title: Re: By by Monster Post by: Two dogs on December 02, 2013, 03:01:01 PM Yes all okay thanks [thumbsup]
Literally hit by a bus ..............parked at the time. Lucky I had agreed value not market value which gives us quite a bit to play with . Shame as very minimal damage apart from the side stand being forced into the ground which compromised the case , just a little dribble of oil equated to a stat right off. Off it goes to Manheim auctions :'( The hunt starts for a new one . ;D Title: Re: By by Monster Post by: Wells on December 02, 2013, 04:01:07 PM 1 - Glad you're both okay.

Title: Re: By by Monster Post by: rendang on December 03, 2013, 12:04:39 AM Sad end to a lovely bike, just glad that neither of you were sitting on it. Why not do something like last time, give your bike to Luba and upgrade yourself ? I really don't get the Stat write off thing for non-structural damage... How does that work in Oz? Here, if it's insured, and the repair cost is >75-80% of market value, it gets 'salvaged'. Owner gets a check, bike goes off to auction house to be sold. Sometimes the owner can buy it back before that (actually, gets a smaller check and can keep the bent bike, but it will always have a 'salvaged' notation on the title. </thread tangent> Title: Re: By by Monster Post by: J5 on December 03, 2013, 10:12:39 PM <thread tangent> How does that work in Oz? the next working day accessed and processed agreed value is the way to go , costs a little more but now have enough to replace her bike with this little hummer. 2010 696 full Termi system Ventura rack and bag tail tidy one owner [thumbsup] Should be picking it up next week. Nice little Christmas pressie for Mrs dogs Comes with a nice little dogs head on the seat (http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5543/11229405474_cc3baebc22_b.jpg) I can just imagine how much fun she will have riding it and shopping for essential safety mods . Title: Re: By by Monster Post by: Speeddog on December 05, 2013, 08:41:05 PM Is that the shiny/glossy white, or the satin pearl white like on 848?
I've got a customer with a satin pearl white 848. It'll pick up fingerprints from 20 paces. And it'll hang onto them like a dog on a fresh bone. Title: Re: By by Monster Post by: rendang on December 06, 2013, 01:34:42 AM Nice one Mr and Mrs dogs [thumbsup] [thumbsup] Private sale ? What are the K's and how much ? Title: Re: By by Monster Post by: Two dogs on December 06, 2013, 01:14:23 PM Pearl white so no sticky fingers
Rendang we were considering Melvins old S2R800 Tangerine (on bikesales)for a while but I would of had to eat way to much humble pie [laugh] from you. Also the seat was too high for Luba , the 696 is a way better fit and has really good ergo for her and its not ORANGE I am looking forward to commuting to work on it ;D Just North of 8k [thumbsup] Low K's Title: Re: By by Monster Post by: mattyvas on December 06, 2013, 08:10:37 PM Sad but very good result.
Thought the new Monsters were not a great fit for many blokes! I am sure she will be comfortable on it. So Melvin's bike is back up for sale! Wonder why? cheers Matty...
