I would be 100% yes if it weren't for my "delicate" condition.

You kids have fun. I'll be watching Mo do yardwork and shopping.  [coffee]

Probably better anyway, I always hate bringing your egos down when I leave you in my 250's wake.

be sure to make mo carry everything for you as well, and get things down from high shelves.

On the way into the office... I saw a guy riding two up on a Harley... he in shorts and t-shirt... she in a long dress.... both of them very large people... and neither with helmets on. NOT EVEN A FRIGGIN HELMET.  Julie was like... "WTF?!! Isn't that illegal?" We both shook our heads and kept driving. It was kinda surreal. I haven't seen a helmetless rider in years. Then, we turn the corner... and there is a dude on an SV... with flip flops, running shorts, and a wife beater. Tiny skull cap helmet.

My point here... people are stupid.

Who goes that way?? We go all twisty back roads... way more fun. I think the only time I went that way was on the way back down from Old Man Pass when my bike was stuck in oh shit gear.

92 eh?

Camel Back day . . . and we could cook the  pancakes and [bacon] on our gas tanks while on a stop somewhere for a mid day snack!

I was hoping to lose 6 lbs before my 3 day trip next weekend.  This ride should take care of that!  ;D

I need a make the beast with two backsING  [drink] and  [beer] and  [wine] and (*)(*)!  Not in that specific order or quantitty!  [cheeky]

i'll try to make it. Swapped clip-ons for the bars and the top mount damper for a side mount . Need to get a shake down run around the block in and dial it all in before i try a long haul. Too many  [drink] now to ride now, hopefully tomorrow.  [bacon]

What clip-ons did you get?  Did they go on easily?  I've got an S4rs too and am thinking about the Speedymoto's.

I got a set of Cyclecats back from a buddy. I ran them on my old DS 1000 Monster and sold them off. He started to part the bike out and I managed to get the clip-ons back from him.
They're great if you can em!  ;D

The new speedy moto ones look great, but I think i'd hold out for the rumored Apex bars with risers. Jeff at Monsterparts said they would be coming out sometime in the near future. Personally, I like a little rise.

Glad I wasn't a hard commit.  Family plans changed and I'm out now.

I don't think I've managed one good/fun ride so far this season and the year is half over!  :-\

Yah,  but I'm gonna shower here in a bit.

I have my 3 day trip coming up.  I'm trying to work out a trip to Bend area.  And I have a 4 day trip I might go on in August so I'll make up in sheer volume what I'm missing out on in weekend rides.

That 4 day trip the guy I'm going with wants to do something close to 900 miles to the destination 2 3-500 mile days while we're there, and then 900 back on the 4th.

I can't help but think 900 on the Monster is gonna be rough.  I wasn't overly pleased with my 600+ day.
 [moto]

Oh, and I'm gonna head up to MotoCorsa in the morning to pick up oil, etc. so I can have some nice new lube in her for the trip next weekend.

Oh, speaking of which . . . how do I determine if I have good/adequate break pad left?
 [moto]

Just make sure you have 1/4" to 1/8" of pad left. Also depending on the brake pads. you can see if you have groves left in the pad. if you have a decent grove you should be good to go. You will usally only have the groves in the pad on the front, the rear pad is doesn't always have one.

I spent the day helping a buddy. I eventually had to trailer his bike out to Action Motorsports in Oregon City. So sad. Wish I was riding with you. Anybody else go?

Viktor-

Sorry I didn't make it.  I wanted to go bad.

I'll buy you a brewski at Plan B on Tuesday to make up for it.

Please be prepared to share a ride report.

That's funny, I always thought of you as more of a nancy than a sally. ;)

Dang, I was out camping with friends and family over the weekend... oh well, me, my bro, and a friend of ours got out for a beautiful evening ride out Hwy 224 past Estacada on Friday.  Light traffic, perfect temp.  [thumbsup]

One of these days I might finally get myself out for the Cougar Run... the summer's been crazy busy.  If I'm not workin', I'm out camping, or doing necessary maintenance on vehicles.

Friggin' work... I wanna know which wanker scheduled a major deadline/delivery in the middle of riding & camping season.  >:(  "Idiot" doesn't even begin to describe that level of stupidity... let's see, Oregon only has how many months of miserable weather when it'd be perfectly fine to work overtime?  Noooooo, instead, some dillweed beancounter decided we needed to bust out the OT in friggin' July.  [roll]

So, y'all goin' to Plan B on Tuesday?  What time?
