Are all the early 900 engines V heads?

ah thanks for that speed dog..  when i finally get one, i want a carbed monster..  a 750 to 900...   noob question?  do even the older carbed ones come with an ecu?     wouldn't mind trying to build an almost no electronics bike one day..

I saw a '95 900 with numbers ending in 039135.
It does in fact have W heads. I was under the impression that a 900 from 1995 would have V heads.

Do you know the history of the bike? Maybe it blew up the original motor and had a new one swapped in?
