Im just beginning to collect parts for a long term rebuild of a s2r 1000 2007; the frame is the first thing im looking for; wondering what Duc frames would match the 1K motor & case mounts?.
This may be more challenging then I think; any ideas of where to get a frame and cases in good condition?.
Cheers DD [Dolph]
Best use the search function as I recall this being covered in detail IIRC by speeddog and Duckstew among others quite some time ago.
Cheers

If I recall (or remember, I forgot :P) correctly.
what frame are u looking at? did u pick up a motor or did u trash a frame?
i had the 1k engine in my s2r1k and swapped to an 1100EVO motor without issue. it was physically a drop in.
im looking to buy a multi and do a motor swap, one of the issues here is that plastics for the multi are difficult to come by.

you don't stop do ya ....he he he man! I'll have to look up posts to see how your swapping went; did you notice the difference in 100ccs?
ok thanks for the info.
So im interested in your engine cases if you want to make some arrangements; where are you located? I'm in Van BC Can.
Are Your in
SF Ca? NYC! Dam other side of the continent... whens Chinese New Years 14? I'm looking forward to some of your festive salty dim sum's they look great!
Its not about the cc, more about the hardware behind the cc. hot cams, bigger valves and a custom ECU map + larger intake than stock (compared to M1100) a slip on termis.
its a massive difference. Literally night and day. I didnt like the DS1000 motor all that much, but the EVO1100 makes a big difference. I think the tuning is a big contributor to it.
My left side case on the 1k motor needs repair. If i can sell my frame to someone, i would go ahead and buy a multi frame and deal with the plastics later. I can reuse most of the stuff on my bike or sell it.
CNY is on the 30th iirc.
