Hi.

My name's Magnus and I live in Stockholm, Sweden. Used to have a 848 EVO SE but the Ducati I currently own is a 2000 Monster 900 ie. I haven't decided what to do with it, I have a Panigale fork that might go on come spring, but for now I just ride it.

I'll bet that's even colder than it looks. How do you like the TKC-80's?

The TKC80's are pretty ok. The carcass moves a lot compared to a street tyre, a behavior that's further enhanced by the studs, but it's nothing you can't get used to. Anyway, this is the only knobby tyre I know off that's available in the correct dimensions. They're not great in heavy snow though, they have a tendency to "float on top" so to speak.

Those tyres are amazing!
I honestly had no idea snow tyres were manufactured at all. That's very nice to know [thumbsup]
What's the brand?

Don't you have problems with corrosion from grit/salt though?

I'm loving it by riding it :)

I washed it before xmas and it looked good beneath the grit and salt. Perhaps the alloys and surface platings are of decent quality.

Drove it 500 km's one way last week going to an exhibition in another town. Had to replace the battery about half way because it was almost flat (heated grips was enough to get on the back side of what the gen could deliver). Does anyone know if there's a bigger gen available?

i don't have one of these lithium batteries myself, but I have heard lithium is the way to go. supposed to be stronger and last longer, plus it only weighs 2 lbs!

If heated grips destroy the battery I'd suspect problems with the charging system.

Good info about diagnosing it can be found by doing a search.
