Title: replacing 900ss oil galley plug; should the primary gear be removed or not...

Is there any reason why the right hand case should not be left intact?

Thanks...

if you're not pulling it all apart to clean everything then no.  I have done it that way I think for someone who didn't want to go the whole hog.  just make sure you don't get anything down into the big end cavity when cleaning the thread.

Thanks Brad.

I'm actually thinking I'll just go all the way so I can have the crank polished and balanced. I always need a silver lining when bad news strikes.

Any board sponsors here do such work?
