I love the tank and fairing one piece combo, not so much on the front fairing or stance.

Do the wheels fold back into the box for storage?  That thing is hideous.

Interesting as a piece of 2-wheeled artwork.

Looks terrible to actually ride.

not impressed at all. when I think "lotus" I think lightweight, minimalist, form follows function. that looks like crap

That front 3/4 shot in the linked article makes it look much more interesting than the side view above.

It'd probably look better without the carbon fiber engine cover  ;)

Is it my eye or does that bike have rake like a cruiser?

Is it my eye or does that bike have rake like a cruiser?

Specs say 31 degrees and 64.8" wheelbase.
So it'll be ..... ah...... stable.

It reminds me of this bike, except I like the Aermacchi better.

^^^   This makes me think of a vacuum cleaner on two wheels.   [laugh]   The Lotus at least seems more like some show cruiser version of a Tron Light Cycle.

Lol,   I like the vacuum cleaner analogy.  I think you are kinda spot on.  Still like it more than the Lotus though as it was highly stylized and followed a form over function rule.

I like old weird bikes though.

in some angles, i like it..   as a lotus enthusiasts, less is more, lighter is better..  guess it goes with the monster likeability as well..  lol, maybe if i had money to throw around, i'd get one with my exige (when i get one)

Way off in the distance, I hear what sounds like a turbine spooling up.
RrrrrrruuuuuuuuueeeeeeeeeeeeSqueeeeeeeeeeEEEEEE.
Oh, that's Colin Chapman spinning in his grave.

Those pics are all CAD/PhotoShop renderings.

What, no one here likes Tron?  I'd rock it.

I like it, but I do wonder about how it will handle.  Daniel Simon is an amazing designer.

Carbon fiber monocoque...

Based on the renderings that means "impossible to service" and "worse than Ducati's MotoGP bikes to ride."

I saw this today on another site, and I'm not sure what I think about it.  I'd want to see one in person, but good or bad, either way it is an interesting concept.

from a lotus guy

"As has been mentioned, these are NOT related to Group Lotus, Lotus Cars, Lotus Sport, or Lotus Engineering at all. They're done by a different company who licensed the name during the Bahar era and the current managers weren't able to squash the deal. They were designed by the guy who designed the light bikes in the new Tron movie, which is why they look similar"

Looks like 3 different bikes squished together. Not sure what I think about it.

I like it.  [thumbsup] nice curves, seems like all the new bikes have sharp angles which does not appeal to me. At least to the eye it seems simple and uncomplicated.
I would Tone down the Lotus logo on the forks though.

It has the look of an electric bike.

It has the look of an electric bike.

That's what I thought, too.
