Hey fellas, I'm having a rather difficult time trying to find a place to get a top-bag that goes over the rear seat (want to put my jacket in it when I go to classes, or books/minor groceries), I can only locate saddle bags, however these would make my bike wider which I'm not too fond of unless I really have to. Would it also be necessary to have a seat cowl, as I can only find one place to buy a plain black colour one of these, its in America, out of stock and still US $200.
Do you have any links to places where you reccomend buying your gear from in Australia? I'm probably just looking in the wrong place, searching for the wrong items haha.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks :)
Hi Jordan
I have a ventura rack and bag for long trips but for work ,shopping and day trips I have one of these

When expanded will fit a jacket not sure about a helmet maybe not.
Books a six pack [beer] shopping all good. Will mount over a seat cowl or without.
Most bags I found were too big or were unstable on the back this one sits nicely without flopping over to one side.
They have a underseat bra so four clips and your walking off with a stylish man bag.
Ahh awesome. If it covers the beer, then that pretty much suits exactly what I need then!! I'll just lock my helmet to my bike if I dont like carrying it around, would save worrying about a disc-brake lock. My bikes parked in a small alcove reserved for bikes, so the sun shouldnt be a problem on my helmet. And if I dont need to buy a seat cowl, thats a hundred I can throw at something else :P
That is a tidy looking bag! Thanks for the link.
I was pondering a Ventura rack, my last 3 bikes have all had racks, but I can't quite bring myself to put one on the Monster.
Could you post up a pic or two with it fitted to your bike please?

Wow. That actually doesnt look bad at all. Plus, it saves me worrying about buying a cowl any time soon :P
Thanks a lot for the pics and help!
Also handy if the little steel peg which is attached to the seat and locks the seat in place happens to fall off, you can wrap the bra around the frame to hold your seat on. Held mine on for over 2 years now. [thumbsup]

Hi Two Dogs
How waterproof are these?
Graeme
Two Dogs,
How does the underside of the bra go on the paintwork? Rub much? I guess you could always attach some rubberised strips underneath and on the actual fitting straps.
Waterproof?
Cheers,

My bra hasn't damaged the paint yet ;D
Has a rubberizzzzed coating on the paint side.
I tend not to ride around with my bra/bag on in the pouring rain ;D so I cant testify to it being 100% waterproof
but it has what looks like reasonable protection as in I don't think it would leak like a secret told too Brian ;D
Yeah Dez, as long as ya don't let yer bra wear and expose the underwire, ya won't scratch the tank.
Bit surprised tho - of all the ozmo mob, I'd have thought rob was most likely to be into bras...
Nah Suzy all the photos Rob [evil] sends me the girls all had their bras removed [laugh]
