But the light might shine at the end, literally the end of the article. Title: Re: The death of the AMA Post by: OT on February 27, 2014, 06:53:26 PM It will take years for a new owner to re-establish this series as a standalone venture. How about calling it Moto4 and hitching it onto the rest of the international circus until a base in the US can be rebuilt.
Title: Re: The death of the AMA Post by: Speeddog on February 27, 2014, 07:19:32 PM No need to coat-tail on international stuff.
We can do it this way. 4 classes: SuperPodunk, SportYokel, BumpkinStock and RollingAnvil. And we'll have live racing coverage in some local newspapers. Any pack of knobs could do it. Oh. F*ckin' hell. We've already got that. Title: Re: The death of the AMA Post by: zooom on February 28, 2014, 04:23:07 AM I think the more likely possibility is that WERA becomes the next national series after being propped up with a serious infusion of cash by someone from the outside to pound the DMG series into the ground once and for all....start fresh as it were, as apposed to chasing that tainted name...

WERA would need to get a very large amount of cash to fill in the different tracks across the country. Title: Re: The death of the AMA Post by: thought on March 04, 2014, 05:03:27 PM Ray of light?

Gonna be a good show. The AFM field is already pretty deep with lots of AMA guys, so it'll be cool to see 'em all mix it up. Hopefully, the AMA guys will run some AFM classes, and of course, the AFM guys will run AMA. Our very own Tigre will be out there. [thumbsup] TripleJ, wanna make a trip with other Northwest guys for classic racing at Sears Point?

We're discussing it here. Very good chance I'll be there to watch at least. [thumbsup] I saw Tigre got the #5 plate! [bow_down] He said he was pretty stoked on it. Number plate is tough in any club, but especially AFM. |
