Title: running without gauges, S2R 800.
Post by: xcaptainxbloodx on March 20, 2014, 06:51:03 PM
The goal is to run with no gauges briefly, and then when I have the cash use a motogadget tiny and a shift light.

what do I need to do besides the ECU flash?

I know the turn signals run through the gauge. Is it as easy as isolating those wires and splicing a universal flasher relay where the gauge was? Or do I need to make a sub harness and run it on top of my stock harness?

Ive also heard that some monsters have an ambient temp sensor in the gauge (I know my barometric pressure sensor is seperate, could that be what they were refferring to?). I havent been able to find any info as to what models/years had this or whether or not it would affect runnability to have it absent. anyone have more info?
