Hi fellow riders,
I just bought a insurance write off M695-06 that needed a new fuel tank and pump. The part was purchased from an eBay dealer stating they were from a -07 M695. Now to the strange part;
The pump I purchased does not have the plastic quick release dis connectors, they are metal ones held by a bracket. When searching spare parts catalogues these turned out to be unions for multistrada, 749 & 999 ( part number 81411361A, 81411371A, 82712131A)
The fuel pump base do not look like pics when googling
The baseplate do have the groove for the big o-ring on the bottom of the flange and there are 6 bolts securing the plate to the tank.
Furthermore the fuel filter and pump look like the pics in Ducati spare parts catalogues for monster 695.
So my question is: is it really a M695 pump or some between models solution? Will it work "bolt on"?
Many thanks in advance/ Daniel
Can you post a picture of the fuel pump assembly you have now?
Here is some pic of the pump and I also noted that the pump is more of a loose fit than snugg fit when ie hole in tank is bigger than pump.

I turned the unions pointing forward as the twats who stole my tank cut the fuel lines....

I don't know what that pump is from.
All of the recent ones I've seen have stubs for the fuel quick-disconnect fittings to attach to.
But it has an O-ring on the face of the flange to seal to the tank?
Hi and thanks for the reply,
This one has an oring in a groove on the face on the flange and not at the top of the baseplate (like 748 etc)
Maybe Ducati has the same philosophy as another big italian brand I've had the pleasure of working with.
"Brand x has a certain number possibilities when it comes to changing bearings in the engine cases for the crank. They all
match within the tolerance and may be restored. But we also have a small percentage where the bearings are outside of tolerance and therefor not
possible to restore..."
Based on that experience I wouldn't be surprised if there was a in between models fuel pump construction.
Regards
There is a mark on it that 'says' 02
2003 - 2004 749/999. it's the wrong plate.
Hi and thanks for the reply,
What makes me a bit confused is what I can tell from pictures, the 749/999 baseplate has three bolts securing the plate and not six. Most of the pics where there is six bolt, there is no threaded hole for the union bracket.
Well I fitted the pump, added some fuel and has not leaked for two Days and it seems to run fine. The future will tell...
true. maybe it's early multi. those connectors were replaced with the plastic quick release for 2005.
