My horizontal cylinder (mobile) tensioner pulleys are seized, 05 620 (50K miles). Are the 2V motors all using the same tensioner assembly? or at least bearings? I've got a GT1000 parts list and pulleys listed as "702.4.069.1A Bearing".
I see some examples on ebay that look the same as mine.
any other good source known for either assembly or bearings? Much appreciated.
FWIW, a shout out to CA-Cycleworks belts, I'm on about a 2 year / 20K mile interval and there's some slight wear and one spot of slight delamanation.
Considering the age and severe service (frozen bearing) I'm happy with the condition of these (replacing with same when bad pulley found).
If you're speaking exclusively of the adjustable pulley, the '05 620 uses two 6201RS bearings side by side.
Available from most any bearing house or old-timey auto parts store.
As Speedog says, you can purchase the bearing at any auto store or specialty store . . .

You can also use this as reference, SKF site, there's two listed bearings for the belt tensioner. 6201-2RSL & 6201-2RSH. The difference appears to be the speed ratings. The H is rated 0-15k rpm, and the L is rated 5k-26k rpm. 0-15krpm is the right range.
Thank you guys. Auto parts places around here tend toward the Fast and Furious but I'll call around.
I found a Ducat Parts Fiche and see the bearing listed under different #'s but the tensioner assembly (adjustable - thanks Sppeddog
....mobile? my brain is fried) always looks the same #.
I can barely get the bearings to spin, and they're not willing to slide off the shaft.
Are these pressed onto the tensioner assembly or should I be able to slide them off (C clip removed of course)?

You should be able to take them off once the C-clip is taken off . .. if they're 'frozen in' use a little WD40 and let it soak and try moving it by hand . . . If necessary, re-soak and if WD40 doesn't do the trick, use some old brake fluid and just let it soak, this should take care of the 'rust' . . .
I've always had to use a press for removal and installation of those bearings.
You can use a hammer and punch with some care.
Be careful with the shaft end, don't press or punch on the lip overhanging the groove.
Easy to bend it and then the clip won't fit.
When installing, only apply force to the inner race.
No Joy so far soaking with PB Blaster.
I'll submerse in old brake fluid.
Meantime I've ordered a used unit, while that's in transit I'll do a long over due valve check.
Thanks very much for the wise words.
When the bearings on the vertical cylinder adjustable belt tensioner on my '04 620 seized, I used a small puller to get the old bearings off. I was able to get one on loan from Autozone. It was a pain figuring out how to get the puller on properly. I tried taking the adjustable part off of the bike and fitting the puller, but in the end, I had more luck keeping it on the bike to get the puller to work.
I used a large c-clamp and a deep-well socket just bigger than the shaft to press the new bearings on. (A vise would have probably worked better, but I didn't have one).
As a note, these bearings are the same size as the one pressed into the pressure plate.
I recently had a seized bearing on my S2R1000 (the adjustable bearing). Apparently at least for the DS1000 motors, Ducati has replaced the 2 bearing part with a single larger bearing pre-pressed on the adjuster.
