Title: Correct fork seal size for Showa GD051?
Post by: Banned on April 21, 2014, 08:55:05 PM
I have seen two different size seals from vendors for the Showa GD051 SBK forks. I've done a search and couldn't find the correct size. (998 forks) Also I couldn't find if there was a Japanese bike substitute that is less expensive. Any help will be appreciated as I will need to service these forks once they are sent to me.

I've used RaceTech FSOS 43C P oil seals & FSDS43 P dust seals

43x54x11. IDxODxHeight

Different brand seals will show different seal numbers so it is imperative to compare apples to apples.

If you are paying more than 40 for two sets of seals and dust covers then it is too much.  I have an extra set of both if you need them.  They are both used but in great shape.  I just did the SBK swap with 848 outer and 1098 internals and sliders.  Racetech only provides the internal diameter because they want you to buy theirs of course.
