Title: Miss in the revs
Post by: jamie2548 on May 22, 2014, 04:20:00 AM
Ok , im just fishing to see if this problem maybe fixed by myslef. Have a 1000sie  Robs "precious" actually .

Just lately  on rides I have been crusing along and what feels like someone hits the kill switch?

Like a very short electrical short then goes back to normal. Only done it half a dozen times, the last time was mid corner powering out. Lets just say it didnt feel too nice.

Any help where to look , or if there is a common or simple fix.

Many thanks
Jamie  [thumbsup]

I had the same exact problem on a different bike, an S2R 800.  Bike was under warranty and I believe they ended up replacing a section of wiring harness.  I can relate as it is the worst feeling to have the power cut mid corner.

Check the ground that runs from your battery to the frame.  My M750 started doing the same thing, and there was a loosening connection on the ground cable.
