Title: Samco or DP Hose Kit - Pics? Post by: arai_speed on July 10, 2008, 11:05:28 AM Hey everyone, does anyone have pics or first hand experience with either the Samco or DP hose kit as displayed in the following picture:
(http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/attachments/f25/78085d1207258899-silicon-hoses-111r-engine-15.jpg) I've been considering this silly mod on my bike but would like to see some Monsters with it. Any of you have pro's/con's on such a mod? Thanks. Title: Re: Samco or DP Hose Kit - Pics? Post by: MonsterMan1036 on July 10, 2008, 11:56:36 AM Here's some pics.

The hoses are easy to install and should only take an hour max to put on. I would recommend getting all new high quality hose clamps to replace the stockers. Title: Re: Samco or DP Hose Kit - Pics? The hose kit does not come w/new clamps? If it does not, which clamps did you use? Title: Re: Samco or DP Hose Kit - Pics? Post by: arai_speed on July 10, 2008, 12:22:34 PM Also, is there any sort of prep work that needs to be done before removing the stock and installing the new ones?
Thanks. Title: Re: Samco or DP Hose Kit - Pics? Post by: MonsterMan1036 on July 10, 2008, 01:42:07 PM Hose kit:

Thanks. No prep work other than draining the coolant. The easiest way to drain is to pull the largest hose and let it drain into a bucket. Then just replace the hoses one at a time.
