Title: Dayco Timing Belts
Post by: Desmofan on June 26, 2014, 05:40:30 AM
Hey Fellas,
My 07 S4RS is due (actually very over due  :-[) a belt change.
I have seen ads for Dayco belts.
Anyone used these? Experiences?
They come in at around half the cost of the Ducati original parts (here is the UK).
Cheers  [beer]

Hey Desmofan have you had a look at our sponsors page? They have belts for sale for round US$50 each for you model. How does the price stack up against Dayco prices? The ExactFit belts are proven.

Cheers,

Scott.

Cheers Scott. I never heard of these. Price wise they stack up pretty well.
Can I get them in UK or would they have to be shipped from US?

Contact Ca-Cycleworks and ask if they have a UK dealer.

Dayco makes belts in kevlar and poly versions, both fit Ducatis.

Just make sure they are the kevlar version.

They are widely used in Italy for Ducatis.

Some Dayco belts listed on eBay for S4RS.
I contacted the seller and apparently they are poly not Kevlar.

Yes you can Last time I enquired Chris quoted a very reasonable price but, when you add shipping and the chance you get caught with customs charges VAT and Duty they end up being only a few £ cheaper than OEM belts. This was for the M1100 BTW, because of this I decided to buy OEM in the end.

I contacted the UK agents a company called Rally Raid. They do not stock the belts.
