Two questions:
What tool is used to adjust the rear spring preload?
How are the black plastic bar ends removed (replacing bent handlebar...)?
Thanks.
Peter
Universal spanner wrench for the rear spring preload. Should be able to pick one up at any local moto shop.
Plastic bar-end plugs should wiggle out with pliers and patient persuasion. Might put cloth/rag over the plugs if you don't want to mar them. And/or pry gently with a small flat screwdriver.
Good luck.
I picked up a double-ended preload spanner at my Cycle Gear for like $15US. It works fine on my M750 and the Honda Hawk. It is double ended for two different sizes, but I've not had a use for the smaller size yet. Maybe on some 250s or some dual sports or dirt bikes it'll work.
