Sorry if this is a stupid question, going to tackle changing my front brakes.
How the heck do you get the front calipers off and then pads?
Was checking quickly and don't see how they are mounted to the forks.
Thanks

Thanks for the link, great write up.
One thing though, my caliper mounts to the fork doesn't have bolts that seam removable, hard to explain. I'll take a better pic and post it.

Remove the allan bolts that come off the fork tube bottoms. Maybe 6mm head size from memory.
And then I can take the calipers off?
Yup, if they are like mine, may require some wiggling to get off the rotor, but should come off fairly easily.
You might have to pry the pads apart just a touch to wriggle the calipers off.
(I carefully wedge a big ass screwdriver in there)
Pay special attention to the tutorial part about 'pump the brake lever when you are done ....'
Thanks for the help, what are the torque specs for those bolts
They are in the "torque spec" thread .

M695 and S2R800 share the same floating calipers. I replaced the stock calipers with something else a long time ago, but I don't remember needing to take off any bolts to swap pads on the stock calipers. Just a clip and a pin, calipers can stay on.

Thanks guys, that was really easy to do.
