Title: 2007 MS2R 800 Menu function
Post by: Uba Tracker on August 13, 2014, 04:24:20 AM
Hi all, I read somewhere that if the standard indicators are swapped out for LED's the dash menu can be be updated to allow the indicators to flash at a normal rate. I know the same result can be achieved with resistors but if the option exists in the bike's menu then that would be more convenient. Can anyone confirm if this option exists and if it does how do I access it?

No, it doesn't exist  :(

There is a 'chip' (or whatever) that can be partially modified - member Suzyj made a thread about it.

How easy it is depends on how comfortable you are with opening the instruments and getting it back together - still waterproof.

Hehehe, well I guess that answers that question, thanks Brad. I thought there may have been something accessible on the LCD screen like when you get rid of the "MAInt" reminder that comes up at service time. Never mind, resistors it is ;)

Stopintime, thanks champ but I've got no intention whatsoever of opening up the clocks, safer to leave well enough alone.
