Title: M750 dual brakes locked up or not
Post by: J-Cee on September 09, 2014, 07:27:24 PM
Took the M out earlier for a quick ride. Noticed it was hard to turn around when I was pushing. Got on the street and it felt unstable. The faster I went the more the brakes seemed to grab. Got it home and put it in the air. Rear brake spins very freely. Fronts seem to rub but not as much as it felt like. Here's a vid:

There are people who have very strong feelings against this, but myself and several others on this board have put thousands of miles on plugged tires. If it's simply a nail or screw puncture I say go for it. Never heard of one failing catastrophically. $3 gets you back on the road, replace it when funds allow.

My previous tire (same model:Dunlop G2) had a plug in it and I road on it for a little bit. It also was chewed up on the side from the chain rubbing against it. PO did not take care of this bike. Tire only has 2500 miles on it.

Got a screw on rear tire on my MotoGuzzi when it was still new.  Plugged it.  The local Honda dealer carries a mc plug kit (glue and foam strips with a needle) and direction.

Encouragment was that it works.  I wore the tire out and when it was replaced I looked at the interior of the plug and it mushroomed as the kit said it would do.  I forgot abouit the plub and rode it moderately hard like I do.
