Title: Cone Rubber seal in tank came loose. Problem?
Post by: venomousr1993 on July 12, 2008, 06:10:41 AM
Was at the gas station filling up the bike when I noticed a bleck rubber seal tossing about in the tank.  I carefully pulled it out and it is shaped like a cone.  It seems like it goes at the bottom of the fill tube to prevent splashback.  I tried putting it back on with very little luck.  I rode home with no problems, leaks ect.  Is this a big issue or is this little part totally necessary?

Thanks

THROW IT AWAY before it falls into your tank and gets jammed somewhere where you cant get to it.

Consider it the end of a problem.  Follow EEL's advice [thumbsup]

It's happened many times, to many people.  No big deal.

I'm kinda surprised you were able to get ahold of it and pull it out through the filler hole.
