Title: Billet Frame Plugs Post by: nats on July 12, 2008, 08:06:42 AM Can someone advise me where to get those billet frame plugs with color options (that replaces the ugly black plastic/rubber plugs on the frame)? I saw it somewhere but can't recall which supplier....Thanks.
Title: Re: Billet Frame Plugs Post by: thejsnide on July 12, 2008, 08:46:27 AM eBay, there are two different sellers with them... Just search for "ducati monster" and arrange by price, they should be around the $59.00 - $39.00 range. Do you think I've looked at them before?
Title: Re: Billet Frame Plugs Post by: junior varsity on July 12, 2008, 08:52:44 AM STM plugs I purchased from Motostrano.
Desmoworld sent me the tail chop plugs. Email him, he speaks/writes a fair amt of English and is VERY prompt. Title: Re: Billet Frame Plugs Post by: stopintime on July 12, 2008, 09:31:26 AM I have these - a set of five plugs, not one for the small hole partially under the left side cover.
You have to figure out which goes where, but that's easy. RageMoto is great to deal with [thumbsup] http://www.ragemoto.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=68_146_98 Title: Re: Billet Frame Plugs Post by: nats on July 12, 2008, 04:06:24 PM Thanks guys. I'll check them out immediately. [beer]
Title: Re: Billet Frame Plugs Post by: c_rex on July 14, 2008, 08:20:14 AM The full set from STM has the small hole plugs but the button is large so it looks like any of the others from the outside. They fit great but I have to say that the extra black one that I left sitting on my shop bench has turned reddish purple. Could be from the flourescent lighting or something. The ones on the bike all look fine after a year or so but I'm sure it's just a matter of time. I'll just rattle can them at that point. /shrug
Title: Re: Billet Frame Plugs Post by: corey on July 14, 2008, 12:34:59 PM thats from "soft" anodizing i believe. black tends to "purple" out a bit from UV rays.
