Title: ***have you any *pics* of this rear hugger installed ?? Post by: punta on July 12, 2008, 04:23:56 PM gday
i am removing the DP rear hugger from my s4rs i have never been happy with it as it was a rushed purchase and i wanted to protect the suspension [bang] it would probably have to be the worst moulded piece of carbon they make, it really could have been much better from them i have since found and purchased this one from Shift-Tech Performance and should receive it by mid this week http://www.shift-tech.com/shop/enter.html (http://www.shift-tech.com/shop/enter.html) it seems to be a perfect moulded shape more suited to the Monster S4RS without the horible clamp style fixing points and unatural shape of the DP style this also apears to be a full hugger fender closing off the rear wheel much more. has any of you got this installed i have been hunting around to find a picture but have not yet been successful if so could you post a link or picture it here i would love to see it..thankyou PUNTA [thumbsup] Title: Re: ***have you any *pics* of this rear hugger installed ?? Post by: stopintime on July 12, 2008, 06:26:29 PM I have the same expensive DP piece and regret not knowing of the full covering alternative [bang] Mine is not a perfect fit and it allows some dirt onto the shock. A friend has the new piece - he's happy, but he told me he had to remove the wheel to install - if that matters to you.

Post by: venomousr1993 on July 14, 2008, 05:44:26 AM I have purchased their front slotted sprocket cover and front chain guard. Their products are high quality imo. I have the DP carbon rear gugger and the quality is fair at best.

Title: Re: ***have you any *pics* of this rear hugger installed ?? Post by: morganf on July 14, 2008, 05:55:11 PM I have the shift-tech rear hugger on my S4RS. It's a nice piece and protects the rear shock. It's two pieces and is held together by a couple of allen screws and inserts. Take it apart, mount the bracket side on the swing arm and then attach the 'hugger' side afterwards. No need to remove the rear wheel this way.
