Title: Wayne Rainey for President
Post by: Speeddog on December 05, 2014, 06:35:28 PM
I heard cries of shock and surprise from around the world, and saw men, women, children, and dogs openly weeping with joy.

In 3 months, they've organized an 8-round schedule televised on NBC.

They're going to many of the best tracks, too.

Not sure you can have Indy there as "one of the best tracks".

Don't think he was including Indy in the 'one of many' category.

Just a guess.

A good one, too, DP - thank you…I was going to dis Indy but am starting my 2015 "no more complaining or condemning" resolution a bit early.

According to this:

It is to be televised on CBS Sports Network, "as part of a multi-year agreement between Torque.TV and CBS Sports Network."

Happy that it will be televised at all.

I was very disappointed that the Daytona 200 was run by CCS (not that I have anything against CCS - it is a GREAT amateur racing organization that I competed in for many years - I just don't think an event that has been run for 74 consecutive years should fall to the "amateur" level) and was not televised AT ALL!!!

I can't disagree about the fact that it's a shame that the 200 was relegated to amateur status.

I think we all knew what would happen when DMG took over the roadracing program from AMA.

Maybe the France family will figure out that there's still money in the event when Rainey shows them how it's done and it he can take it over.
