Title: Insurance cost poll Post by: Flyboy767 on January 13, 2015, 06:45:03 AM I just got my insurance renewal for my 2009 Monster 1100S and its $871 for the year. Kind of pricey I think. It includes collision and comprehensive and all the other bells and whistles that the Republic of MA requires. How does it compare to other Monster owners here?

I looked at Progressive but didn't like the way they settle some claims. Thanks for all the info. I'm curious, when i checked USAA, because my car is insured through them, they stopped doing motorcycles and sent you progressive. So are you a grandfather plan? At least the collision part? Title: Re: Insurance cost poll Post by: He Man on January 15, 2015, 09:43:27 AM Don't you just suspend the insurance for the 5 months you can't ride? At least the collision part? In most north eastern states, there is a winter discount that knocks off 15% of the insurance for the time u cant ride, but you still covered. you can cancel the collision part, which is what i would do, unless your bike is financed and requires it. No can't do that ( we used to years ago ) ....now that being said I am not 100% sure it is law or just a scam that the Company's have colluded to do Title: Re: Insurance cost poll Post by: J1nns on January 18, 2015, 02:40:41 PM No can't do that ( we used to years ago ) ....now that being said I am not 100% sure it is law or just a scam that the Company's have colluded to do It is frustrating but I'd like to think they prorate their fees. I'm 33, one speeding ticket, riding three years, 2014 Monster 821 Dark in Alberta Canada and I pay $405 with full coverage, $500 deductible across the board.
