Get a mercury manometer. Go for a ride to warm the engine up. Hook two of the hoses from the manometer up to the vacuum ports. Start the bike. Adjust the balance adjuster (not the idle speed adjuster) until the columns of mercury are the same height. If the sync was really bad, you may have to also adjust the idle speed. NOTE: Be very careful not to burn your arm on the exhaust pipe. If you do you may have to go to the ER 2 days later for IV antibiotics. (Ask me how I know.) NOTE 2: Mercury is poisonous if you're exposed to it in much larger concentrations than you'll see with even a modicum of care using mercury manometer. Just don't let your kids or pets drink it.
