Title: 748/998 Ohlins shock on S2R
Post by: SwiftTone on March 16, 2015, 03:59:10 PM
My bike is in storage so I can't look this up.

I'm getting things together in preparation of installing a Ohlins DU-8440 shock from a 998.

I know the bracket for the coil has to removed/bent, coil and r/r has to be relocated. I've read that some people have also removed their crankcase breather box and replace it with a filter.

Is the removal of the box necessary or just an option? Is it in the way of the shock when in operation?

I've like to get this taken care of before I send the bike to my suspension tuner.

Thanks!
