Title: Corbin seats, whats up with the seam in the middle on the newer ones???
Post by: metrorollah on July 14, 2008, 12:25:50 PM
I have a 1998 with a Corbin seat that I love. I want to get a post 2000 Monster, but I wont if the only Corbin I can get has a seam in the middle of the butt like in these close ups. Is this true?

I called Corbin already, and am waiting for an answer, but I dont want to get BS from the sales person.

I don't recall seeing that seam before, but it's been a long time since I've really looked close at one.  ???

Mine has a seem but it is further back more on the up curve so I am not really sitting on it.

I don't notice its even there actually. I just had to go look to see if it even had one.

My Corbin is a Custom made one from about 2 years ago.

I find I sit up tight to the tank on either the stock seat or my Sargent seat.  Don't know that a seam that far back would bother me.

I actually use both seating positions on my Corbin. In town, I sit upright, on the freeway I sit back.

I suggest Sargent then. Worth a try of something different anyhow. That seem looks retarded.

it looks to me like the seam is there to keep the seat cover down and against the foam, otherwise it might separate and instead of following the foam, might cause a little pocket there. i dunno.
